We’re all in vacation mode already because of the long CNY holiday. But you don’t need to wait to enjoy a long break. There are plenty of picnic spots in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor where you can enjoy some downtime on weekends, whether you’re looking to relax by the lake or watch the people munch on tuna sandwiches. You’re ready to take something tasty with you to these lovely picnic spots.

Taman Botani Negara

You’re likely looking for a peaceful spot for a picnic that is far from the city and near nature. Taman Botani Negara’s gardens and lakes will appeal to you if the answer is “yes”. You will find a few cozy spots near the lake. It’s also interesting to learn that the ‘lakes” are actually Sungai Baru Dam, which was the primary water source for northern Klang during the 1960s, and Air Kuning Dam, which is now popular for flyfishing. Taman Botani Negara has wooden shelters with roofs, which are surrounded by trees and greenery.
